Setek WiFi Range Extender Setup Guide: Web Browser & WPS Methods

Setting up your Setek WiFi range extender is simple and can be done using either of two convenient methods: the web-based setup via a browser or the WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) method. Below is a step-by-step guide for both options:

Method 1: Setup via Web Browser

  1. Power On the Extender:
Plug the Setek WiFi extender into a power outlet to turn it on.

  2. Connect to the Extender’s Network:
On your PC or laptop, connect to the extender’s default WiFi network (SSID).

  3. Access the Configuration Page:
Open an updated web browser and enter 192.168.10.1 in the address bar. This will take you to the setup interface.

  4. Login to the Admin Panel:
When prompted, enter the default admin password, which is admin, to log in.

  5. Connect to Your Main Router:
From the interface, select your main router’s WiFi network and input its password to establish a connection.

  6. Set Extended Network Credentials:
On the following page, create a custom name (SSID) and password for your extended network. Click Save.

  7. Finalize Setup:
The extender will automatically reboot to apply the settings. Once it restarts, you can connect your devices to the newly extended network.

Method 2: Setup via WPS

  1. Position the Extender:
Plug the extender into a power outlet near your router.

  2. Initiate WPS Pairing:
Press the WPS button on the extender. Within two minutes, press the WPS button on your router.

  3. Establish the Connection:
Wait for the extender’s WPS LED to turn solid, indicating a successful connection.

  4. Connect to Extended Network:
Your Setek WiFi range extender is now configured. You can connect your devices using the same password as your router’s SSID.
