Zendaya rocks a glitchy, luminous outfit that screams sci-fi chic

As expected, Emmy winner and longtime stylist Law Roach have utilized the series of red carpet events, premieres, and photo calls to present a fashion spectacle, with Zendaya’s wardrobe brimming with sci-fi-themed ensembles paying homage to the expansive world-building of the interstellar Dune universe. Nothing is excluded in the realm of “method dressing,” as Roach described it in an interview with Bazaar earlier this month. Thus far, this has included a chrome suit of armor (featuring playful see-through panels), a relaxed menswear ensemble reminiscent of an actual sand dune, and a dystopian knotted dress adorned with cutouts across the midsection.

Zendaya evidently embraces pushing the boundaries of traditional movie star attire. However, in her recent appearance in Seoul, South Korea, she demonstrated that even her more understated looks possess a remarkable ability to captivate the fashion world.

In this instance, Zendaya and Roach opted for a more subdued approach with her Seoul outfit, selecting a vintage ensemble from Alexander McQueen’s Givenchy Fall/Winter 1999 ready-to-wear collection. The ensemble comprises a stone-gray structured zip-up turtleneck paired with a form-fitting pencil skirt featuring a center leg slit at the back. These details alone are enough to entice any fashion enthusiast, but it’s the vibrant red, glow-in-the-dark circuit-board design that elevates it to the next level.

The glitchy motherboard pattern adorns the entirety of the jacket and the bottom half of the skirt, infusing the set with the same sense of sci-fi fantasy that has characterized the rest of Zendaya’s Dune press tour wardrobe. The Euphoria star completed the look with sheer black tights and glossy black Louboutin pumps featuring a crystallized red sole.

“Just a little something for the people…..” Roach later teased on Instagram. He added, “@zendaya wearing archival @givenchy designed by the Genius Lee McQueen ❤️❤️❤️.
